Today I finished another book (probably one of the reasons I haven't been cleaning a whole lot while my children have been napping/resting :)
"Waiting for Summer's Return" (Heart of the Prairie Book #1)
It's a sweet book and leaves you feeling refreshed and content.
Summer Steadman had to bury her husband and four children. Peter Ollenburger, also a widow asks her to come and tutor his son, Thomas, who had injured his ribs and couldn't go to school for a while but Peter didn't want him to fall behind. Once that happens, a reader already knows where things are going. And are expecting it :)
However, I must say that if you have read Janette Oke's "Love Comes Softly" series then a lot of the things are the same. Two widows. Child in need. New environment for one of them. Bringing the woman to faith. Man is big, kind, gentle, fair, respected. A lot of similarities, yet there were new things as well that kept me interested (even though I have read "Love Comes Softly" books at least 3-4 times :)
